I can’t remember a time when drawing and painting were not a big part of my life. I grew up with the smell of oil paint and turpentine as my dad is an artist. My style evolves as I am influenced by people and places. I love the process of converting a blank canvas and paint into a completed work, whether this is one of my detailed pieces or my more free flowing works. I relish finding the perfect mix of colours for a particular work. I find that each painting is an intimate relationship, there are ups and downs but ultimately the more effort and love you put in the greater the reward.

I am a Glasgow girl who moved to rural Aberdeenshire 15 years ago. My recent works have been inspired by the beautiful countryside, coastlines and “big skies” in this part of the world.
